Manhattan real estate surged over 23% in the beginning of the year (January 2022). In December 2021 the average price of Manhattan rentals increased while the supply for rentals were on the decline.

The lifting of the pandemic restrictions has brought back demand for the rental real estate market, within the five boroughs. According to a report presented by the New York Federal Reserve Bank, Americans can expect for price increases for rental and purchasing of real estate, to be more the 10% in 2022. -SB
